LetsRun.com posted this video of Galen Rupp vomiting after crossing the finish line as the winner of yesterday’s 2018 Volkswagen Prague Marathon.

Small wonder, considering what Rupp did on the course, smashing his 2:09 PB to finish in 2:06:07. It was Rupp against Sisay Lemma of Ethiopia after the 30K mark, with Rupp pulling ahead in the last two miles of the race.

Rupp’s was the second-fastest time on this course behind Eliud Kiptanui’s 2010 record of 2:05:39 (from 2010). And his performance makes him the second-fastest American marathoner of all time, behind Khalid Khannouchi (though Khannouchi has run faster twice, in Chicago and in London).

Rupp’s victory came less than three weeks after he bailed out of the freezing, wet Boston Marathon.
