VIDEO: Robbie Burns 8K in Burlington, Ont. celebrates 40 years
More than 700 runners braved icy temperatures today at the 40th annual Robbie Burns 8K Road Race
In stark contrast to last year’s mild temperatures, it was a sunny but chilly morning in Burlington, Ont. today as more than 700 runners came out for the 40th annual Robbie Burns 8K Road Race. For the third year in a row, Victoria Coates won in 28:51.7, and Blair Morgan won the men’s race for the second year in a row, in 25:36.4.

The race was also the site of the OMA Trillium Series 8K, of which the top three male finishers were Michael Gill (26:53), Ross Bain (27:28) and Mitch Free (29:06), and the top three females were Krista DuChene (29:55), Seanna Robinson (31:02) and Lynn Dempsey (32:53).
In the Athletics Canada Trillium Series 8K, the top three men were Blair Morgan, Nicholas Mota (25:48) and Andrew Davies (25:52) and the top three women were Krista DuChene, Seanna Robinson and Julia Cameron (32:37).
