VIDEO: Runner collapses and crawls to finish line of Boston Marathon
This is what marathon running is about: grit
Micah Herndon is the runner who crawled to the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday morning. Herndon served as a Marine in Afghanistan and was running as a tribute to his fellow war veterans. He told the Record-Courier before the race, “They are not here anymore. I am here, and I am able. I am lucky to still have all my limbs. I can still be active. I find fuel in the simple idea that I can run. Some cannot.” The runner finished Monday’s race in 3:38:00.
