De Grasse demonstrated he is well and truly back on the track in Ostrava today
Sprinter Andre De Grasse had another excellent result in the 200m today, blasting past Christian Coleman of the US to win the 200m in a season’s best 19.91 at the Ostrava Golden Spike meet in the Czech Republic. According to FloTrack, it’s the first time De Grasse has run a wind-legal sub-20 since the 2016 Olympics. It’s also the fifth best time in the world so far this year.

Coleman’s time was 19.97. Clarence Munyai of South Africa finished third, in 20.31. Canadian Brendan Rodney finished fifth, in 20.65.
De Grasse also ran an impressive race at Rabat Diamond League last week, surging past world champion Ramil Guliyev for the win. Hopes are high for De Grasse for this year’s world championships, to be held in Doha in September.
