Beyoncé and Peloton announce multi-year collaboration

You can now ride and run to class curated by Queen Bey

On Tuesday, multi-time Grammy award winner (and one of the most famous people in the world) Beyoncé announced a collaboration with Peloton. Beyoncé is the app’s most requested artist, and she will give Peloton’s 3.6 million members access to classes curated by her. Available on the Peloton app, Bike+ and Tread+, the classes will touch on areas of importance to Beyoncé, including music, movement, fitness and wellness.

This collaboration is commemorating Homecoming season, an annual fall celebration for students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) that honours tradition and legacy. Beyoncé and Peloton have worked closely to create a series of themed workout experiences to help extend Homecoming to Peloton members through many different classes including cycling, running and strength sessions. There’s much more to Peloton than the bike, so if runners are interested in participating in the 30-day free trial, they can download the app and do strength and running classes equipment-free. 

Beyoncé, a Peloton member herself, wants to bring fitness, music and wellness to 10 Historically Black Colleges and Universities. “Peloton and I both believe that the power of music can help uplift, motivate and inspire those on their fitness journeys,” she said. “I’ve been a Peloton member for several years, and I’m excited to partner with a company that helps people, young and old, be the best versions of themselves, in an innovative and adaptable way. I’m proud to celebrate the students at HBCUs with this donation, to encourage them to find and embrace their own wellness regimens.” The singer is gifting two-year memberships to students from several schools.
