Canadian Running and Gripped Publishing Inc., are proud to bring you this documentary on the Speed River club in Guelph, Ont.

When it comes to Canadian distance running, the Speed River Track and Field Club has become the model for success. Canada’s top two marathoners, Reid Coolsaet and Eric Gillis train with the team, based in Guelph, Ont. Dozens of other runners from the group have also made national teams. Many of those athletes developed through the University of Guelph cross-country program, also coached by Dave Scott-Thomas. Canadian Running’s Deen Karim brings us the story of this powerhouse running group in “The Making of Champions.”
