Here’s how readers responded to the shaved legs debate

There was plenty of feedback on social media as well as readers casting their votes on our poll in regards to the male shaved legs debate.

On June 19, Canadian Running posted some reasons for and against shaving your legs with an accompanying poll, which got plenty of feedback on Facebook and Twitter. Results of the poll suggest that readers, when asked “male runners: Do you shave your legs?” are in favour of the no-shave option with 63 per cent of the vote.

Readers chimed in regarding their personal preference and reasons behind their decision. Those in favour mentioned reduced pain when getting massages, being helpful in preventing ticks from attaching to leg hair and for aesthetic reasons.

Those who opted for the no-shave option mentioned that leg shaving never even crossed their mind or that it can be time consuming. Below are some of comments from Canadian Running readers.
