Canadian Running web editor Sinead Mulhern speaks to sports psychologist Kim Dawson, who has worked with some of Canada’s top distance runners, on this week’s episode of the Shakeout Podcast. Dawson discusses common bad habits among runners and what you should do about them. Have a bad habit? We might have covered it. 

For the week’s second discussion, with CR editor Michael Doyle and staff writer Tim Huebsch join in on the conversation and the three chat about a variety of news topics in the world of running including the blue jean mile and Kathrine Switzer committing to the New York City Marathon. The segment also included a discussion about the Red Bull 400 Whistler, which Canadian Running will be reporting live from on Aug. 5.
