On this week’s episode of the Shakeout Podcast, presented by Kronobar, Canadian Running editor Michael Doyle, web editor Sinead Mulhern and staff writer Tim Huebsch chat with Alissa St Laurent. The 33-year-old Albertan is running the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc on Sept. 1 and we chat with her about living in Chamonix, France for the past three weeks, her previous year of racing and her goals for the world’s most famous ultramarathon.

Then, the Shakeout Podcast trio chat about Icarus, the Netflix film about the Russian doping scandal that marred the 2016 Rio Olympics. All three give the film a thumbs up.
