On this week’s episode, Canadian Running‘s editor Michael Doyle and staff writer Tim Huebsch discuss the upcoming film, Stronger, which screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in mid-September. That’s the second segment. In the first segment, web editor Sinead Mulhern discusses with registered dietician and sports nutritionist (and super fast runner) Megan Kuikman the mistakes people make with nutrition depending on what their age group.

Stronger is based on the memoir of the same name, which follows Jeff Bauman, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, and his life after the 2013 Boston Marathon, where he lost both of his legs in the bombings. As IDMB describes it, Stronger is “the inspiring real life story of Jeff Bauman, an ordinary man who captured the hearts of his city and the world to become a symbol of hope following the infamous 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.”
Michael and Tim discuss their thoughts on the film, a preview of a soon-to-be-posted interview of Bauman as well as the film’s most powerful moments. And, of course, whether we think you should see it or not.
