Four-time reigning champion and Canadian record-holder Melissa Bishop-Nriagu and west-coast standout Lindsay Butterworth came in as heavy favourites. But it was Canadian Running staff writer Madeleine Kelly who used a late surge to muscle her way to her first ever national victory.
