International Women’s Day is coming up. In honour of the occasion, this week we talk with one of the most dominant masters sprinters Canada has ever produced.

Karla Del Grande has more than a few accolades to her name. She holds 9 world records, plus 25 individual and 10 relay Canadian records in events ranging from 60m to 400m. She is a member of both the Ontario and Canadian Masters Athletics Hall of Fame. She was also recently named the World Masters Athletics Female Athlete of the year in sprints.

But her love of track is about so much more than re-writing record books; she’s on a mission to inspire others to redefine their boundaries and discover a love of sport for life.
