The Shakeout Podcast: Malindi Elmore, from 1500m Olympian to marathon record holder
In January Malindi Elmore shattered the Canadian Marathon record, running 2:24:50 in her second ever bid at the distance. Sixteen years ago she made her first Olympic team competing in the 1500m. But following those Games a series of frustrating setbacks led Malindi to hang up her spikes in 2012 and retire from professional running for good. Or so she thought.
