Why female representation matters for Canadian Olympians

Maddy Price and Georgia Simmerling have big goals for the future of women's sport in Canada

This episode is a rebroadcast of conversation from last year with Olympians Maddy Price and Georgia Simmerling. Georgia had just launched her company AG Sports Inc, the first female driven, female powered sports agency in Canada. Maddy, who was part of the Canadian 4x400m relay team that took 4th at the Tokyo Olympics, was one of AG Sports’ first clients.

Given our recent episode with Matt Hughes and Stephen Andersen about the launch of their sports agency and the value of Canadian athletes working with Canadian representation, we thought it was a great time to revisit this chat with Georgia and Maddy. They talk about the value of women representing women, about the great strides made by our female athletes, and about what remains to be done to ensure gender equity in the sporting world.
