The weekend of September 30 – October 2 is the Beneva Quebec City Marathon, a healthy invitation from Brunet, as well as the Kyndryl 21.1K presented by WKND 91.9, Sports Experts 10K, Beneva healthy 5K and Kids race 2K. The 2022 Quebec City Marathon will look a little different this year. The course has been updated to avoid some construction and make the 42.2K equal parts fun, challenging and interesting. Taking you through some of Quebec City’s most historic and scenic areas over the 42.2 kilometres, this is a beautifully designed race course.
Over the past year race organizers worked with various local business associations to build a relationship with them, and increase the hype surrounding the race weekend. Having local businesses on board has allowed the marathon organizers to plan a celebration like never before for participants, spectators, and Quebec City residents.
This year’s marathon will bring you through Quebec City’s most historic neighbourhoods and scenic areas:
- Old Quebec (Vieux Québec)
- Faubourg Saint-Jean
- Saint-Roch / Saint-Sauveur
- Sillery
- Limoilou
- Old Port
- Vanier
- Plaines D’Abraham
- Montcalm
- Lairet
- St-Louis
Below is an interactive map to show runners and spectators what they can look forward to during the Beneva Quebec City Marathon, a healthy invitation from Brunet.
This year’s event begins and ends at Place Jean Béliveau, on the Expo-Cité site (Centre Vidéotron). By combining the start/finish, participants are able to leave their belongings in the same place they will finish their race. The change streamlines the racing process by eliminating the need for a shuttle. It also allows participants to begin their celebrations immediately after finishing, as the celebrations begins at the finish line at place Jean Beliveau. Parking is available nearby if you plan to drive. You can find the official course map here and the elevation profiles below.
