This latest iteration of Salomon’s Speedcross trail line focuses on improved grip, stability and comfort. The shoe’s Sensifit system design hugs the foot from the midsole to the laces, providing accommodating comfort for a variety of foot widths.
Canadian Running also found the midsole material (AKA, what Salomon’s labels the “EnergyCell”) provided a high degree of energy without compensating on comfort when running over trail obstacles, such as roots and rocks.
The Speedcross 5’s substantial and sharply pointed lugs adhere exceptionally well to the ground.
