The 28-year-old says the injury is not serious but is taking the week off running as a precaution. He was out for the second half of 2016 after having surgery on his foot following the 2016 Olympic Trials and has been making strides in returning to top form in the months since including a victory at September’s Canadian 5K Road Race Championships.
