Describe yourself: I’m a husband, kinesiologist, runner and coffee connoisseur. I started a running club called Grand River Endurance and work at a clinic called Advanced Therapies.

Most notable running/racing experience: There are many experiences I’ve enjoyed but winning the 2016 Around the Bay 5K was incredible. Coming into FirstOntario Centre with people cheering was something I will never forget and a confidence that has boosted my running ever since.

How has your training gone? The build going into this STWM has gone really well. I have been able to hit all my mileage goals and have had success in most workouts. My wife Tanis and I recently went to Flagstaff, Ariz. which was an amazing experience and allowed us to get in some focused undisturbed and dedicated training for 15 days. All the races I’ve done leading into STWM have been on track leading into this debut marathon.

Why STWM? I choose STWM because it’s close to home, Grand River Endurance members are racing so strength from the team and local support.

Goals for the race? My goal for STWM is to run an even controlled race and I hope to run 2:21-2:22.

What gear will you be sporting for the race? I will be wearing Skechers performance apparel, Skechers GoMeb Razors and will be fueling with Endurance Tap.
