Describe yourself: I discovered running in my senior year at Heart Lake High School in Brampton, Ont.. I didn’t compete post-collegiately and progressed rather slowly as a Mississauga Track Club runner for five years. I later joined Athletics Toronto and am now with the Newmarket Huskies. I also work full-time as a Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) overhead linesman. Basically, I service streetcar power lines. It’s a very gratifying and specialized job and I normally work the night shift.

Most notable running/racing experience: I’m most proud of running for Canada at the 2017 IAAF World Cross-Country Championships in Kampala, Uganda in March finishing a hard-fought 80th-place.

How has your training gone? I am thrilled to say that my training for STWM has been excellent. It’s been a long build but I am healthy and feel ready to run a good race.

Why STWM? Toronto is my hometown and this is my hometown race. It also serves as the national championships. It’s fast, flat and extremely well organized by the people at Canada Running Series.

Goals for the race? The goal is to give the best effort on the day.

What gear will you be sporting for the race? I will be wearing a Newmarket Huskies team uniform singlet and a pair of Nike Vaporfly 4%.

Social handles: “I have none.”
