There will be plenty of Canadians in action on Saturday morning in Rio as day 2 of the Olympics gets underway with the women’s steeplechase.
Geneviève Lalonde, the newest Canadian record holder, spent much of the fall in the Arctic, training 3,500 kilometres away from home, ahead of the Olympics. The 24-year-old is a Rio hopeful in the women’s 3,000m steeplechase.
