The combination of running and drinking is hitting Montreal this weekend to close out September.

The rules of a beer mile are simple: run one mile (four laps of a 400m track plus 9m) and drink four beers as fast as you can. Plus, you can go home with some sweet swag as there will be giveaways from SmartWool and Ciele Athletics and nutrition from Xact Nutrition. Raised funds will go to Camp Lift, a non-profit offering inner city youth the experience of a week-long and development programs in the heart of nature.

The event is to take place at Kent Track near Mount Royal in Montreal on Sept. 30.

Think you have what it takes to run a fast beer mile? The world records are 4:34.35 and 6:08.51. Note that five per cent alcohol beer, each in the amount of 355 mL, must be consumed for the time to be considered ‘official’ by Beermile.com.
