Andre De Grasse and Nia Ali’s baby girl born Saturday

Canadian sprinter celebrates birth of his first child as he prepares to race at Harry Jerome Classic in Vancouver

According to a tweet by Canadian Press reporter Lori Ewing, Andre De Grasse and partner Nia Ali’s baby daughter was born Saturday.

De Grasse is currently in Vancouver at the Harry Jerome Classic, where he will compete in the 100m and possibly the 4x100m relay.

Ali won the silver medal in the 2016 Olympics in the 100m hurdles. She and De Grasse met as track athletes at the University of Southern California.

Ali has a three-year-old son with American Olympian Michael Tinsley.
