Shoppers leave Nike factory store in disarray after Black Friday frenzy

Black Friday shoppers left a Nike outlet store in Washington in disarray following a store-wide sale on Nov. 24-25.
BuzzFeed reports that more than 20,000 people swept through the Nike factory store at the Seattle Premium Outlets in Tulalip, Wash. Images from shoppers show orange boxes, the signature casings for Nike shoes, scattered across the floor. Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day and is known for major sales at a variety of shops and stores in the United States. Canadians may also be familiar with Black Friday sales ahead of the Christmas season.
The incident happened between Thursday night at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. the next day.

“I thought there was an earthquake that happened,” one of the shoppers told BuzzFeed News. “It was unreal.” The man, Larry Downer, posted a video to his Facebook showing the aftermath, which has been seen more than 160,000 times in the matter of days.

The outlets are a popular spot for Canadians as Tulalip is located approximately 90 minutes south of the Canada-U.S. border. Vancouver is the closest major Canadian city to the outlets. The aftermath of the scene can be seen in the images below.
