Television audiences might not at first have recognized the smiling, dark-haired woman on stage at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday, but they might have taken a clue from the colour of her dress.

It was Boston Marathon winner Des Linden, famous for the images of her running down Boston’s Boylston Street in her black Brooks Canopy jacket.

Linden’s co-presenter was American snowboarder Chloe Kim, gold medallist at the women’s halfpipe event at this year’s winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.
