Buy Kara Goucher’s house for $2.5 million

goucherhouse

Last week Kara Goucher announced on her blog that she will be moving back to Boulder, Colo., to finish her professional career. She has lived in Portland, Ore., training previously with the Nike sponsored groups coached by Alberto Salazar and now Jerry Schumacher. She will be training under her old coach, the University of Colorado’s Mark Wetmore.

“There is no dramatic story here, I just need something different,” Goucher wrote in her blog. ” I have had to be brave many times before, and I’m being brave again. I have found the courage to trust my instincts and to follow my heart. After nine great years in Oregon I am headed back to the place and the coaches who helped me begin this journey.”

She will move with her husband Adam Goucher, a former Olympian, and their son Colton.

With the move, The Gouchers’ house in Portland has gone up for sale.

The 2010 Street of Dreams home, marking it as one of the nicest new homes in Portland that year, is listed at $2.5 million USD. The 6,800 square-foot, four-bedroom, four-bath home sits on 11 acres of property. It’s a three-storey home, and according to the real estate listing, comes with an office, home theatre, wine cellar, guest suite, gym, and custom pool.
