In case you don’t know, it’s the most wonderful time of the year with Hallmark Christmas movies on the W Network 24/7, all December long. Last night, Canadian Paralympian Josh Cassidy starred in Swept Up by Christmas, which is about an antique dealer and a cleaner, who work on an antiquated home right before Christmas.

As the two main characters uncover treasures inside the house, they try to find ways to reconnect the veteran to his home by uncovering his Christmas pasts. Cassidy plays the role of Mike, a former war veteran who works for Dirt Force One (a cleaning service), and the boss of the main character, Reed.

Here’s a sneak peek at the trailer.

This role isn’t Cassidy’s first acting gig. He previously played a civilian in a digital short about the unexpected chaos of Toronto’s alleyways and had a stunt role in DC Comics Suicide Squad. Cassidy said to us he isn’t pursuing acting too seriously, but he is keeping an eye out for casting calls that come his way.

Outside of acting, Cassidy is a three-time Abbott World Marathon Majors champion in wheelchair racing, having won at London, Boston and Chicago. He has represented Canada three times at the Paralympics, but despite meeting qualifying times leading up to Tokyo 2020, he wasn’t selected for the team.

For those who missed the Tuesday premiere of the movie, it will be aired again on Thursday, Nov. 25, at 8 pm E.T. on the W Network. The movie can also be streamed on Stack TV or the Global TV app.
