Radchenko, a Toronto native, held the title of assistant coach with the Varsity Blues team for nine years, from 2012 to 2021, during which the team won three U Sports track and field titles (2015-2017) and the 2017 cross-country national banner. He also coached student-athletes Madeleine Kelly, Lucia Stafford and Gabriela DeBues-Stafford to spots on the Tokyo 2020 Olympic team.
He will officially begin his new coaching role with UofT on April 21.

After he was named associate head coach and endurance lead for the Guelph Gryphons in 2021, Radchenko spent four years and eight competitive seasons with the Gryphons. He guided the team to three consecutive double U Sports track and field banners (2022, 2023 and 2024) followed by a second-place finish in 2025. Radchenki was also named OUA cross-country coach of the year four times (2021 and 2022 for the women’s side, and 2021 and 2023 for the men), and at the U Sports level, he led the women to two bronze-medal U Sports finishes (2021 and 2022), and the men to silver in 2021.

Under Radchenko’s guidance, countless Gryphon athletes reached the national podium, and elite athletes Lucia Stafford and Jazz Shukla of Toronto represented Team Canada at the Olympic Games in Paris.
Even over a short window, Radchenko still managed to leave a lasting legacy with the University of Guelph, helping to re-instill trust in the Gryphon athletes.
