Posting icy beards online appears to be one of this winter’s Canadian running trends.

From the photographer to the prime minister to elite runners, now cyclists are catching on. Canadian cyclocross (a form of cycling similar to cross-country running) racer Mark McConnell, who goes by “Hot Sauce Cycling” on social media, shared a photo of a winter running beard from Calgary last week.
