Syracuse University distance star and Canadian Justyn Knight had some fun in the closing metres of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) 3K Championships.
On the verge of winning his 10th career individual ACC (the conference Syracuse University competes in the NCAA Division One), Knight counted from one to 10 on both hands before clapping in celebration. After showing some flare, the humble Knight then congratulated teammate Aidan Tooker who finished second in the race, hosted at Clemson University in South Carolina.
Footage of the finish has been viewed more than 37,000 times on Knight’s Instagram account.
In the conference 5K on Friday, Knight also was untested to the line and looked back and encouraged teammate Phil Germano to the finish as the university teammates finish 1-2.
