Nike to air “Dream Crazier” spot during Oscar broadcast
The latest in Nike's 30-year-old Just Do It series features titans of the track world Caster Semenya, Tatyana McFadden and Sarah Reinertsen, among others

The latest entry in Nike’s “Just Do It” campaign, which turned 30 years old last year, is entitled “Dream Crazier” and features an all-female cast of athletes including blade runner Sarah Reinertsen, South African 800m runner Caster Semenya and Paralympian Tatyana McFadden. The spot will air on tonight’s Academy Awards broadcast.

The commercial, which is narrated by tennis superstar Serena Williams (who has had to deal with her share of haters) celebrates women’s achievements in the world of sports while pointing out the double standard female athletes face when it comes to showing strong emotion.
“Dream Crazier” is a reference to an earlier Nike campaign entitled “Dream Crazy” featuring controversial former NFL player Colin Kaepernick.
