Olympic champion Gabby Thomas confronts alleged stalkers in Chicago
The three-time Olympic gold medallist says a group of men have been following her to airports across the U.S. for months

U.S. Olympic 200m champion Gabby Thomas is one of the biggest track stars in the world and a passionate advocate for positivity in track and field. On Tuesday afternoon, the sprinter posted a troubling video on her TikTok page, revealing the identity of two men she alleges have been stalking her for several months at airports across the U.S.

Thomas, who won three gold medals for Team USA in Paris last August, shared she’s being stalked by a group of middle-aged men who have approached her at multiple airports, asking the two-time Olympian to sign memorabilia and photos. She mentioned that the men become “really aggressive and hostile” when she declines their autograph requests.
In her video, Thomas explains that these men appear and harass her every time she travels. “It doesn’t matter what city—they’ve come when I was travelling to and from Chicago, they’ve come when I was travelling to and from Miami. They somehow have my flight information and show up either at the front door of the airport, the concourse, or even at my gate.”
@itsgabbythomas They know the airport, day, time, gate, everything!!! Who do I report them to?? #fyp
Thomas shared two videos on TikTok of her confronting the men, who immediately ran away when she pointed the camera at them. “I need advice right now, because I fear that I’m being stalked and I genuinely don’t know what to do or who to go to,” wrote Thomas in her video caption.
“Do I go to the police or airport security?” Thomas asked. “It’s like a multi-city thing, so I can’t just go to the Austin police…I don’t know where these people live.”
The 2023 U.S. Open tennis champion, Coco Gauff, commented on Thomas’s video, saying she deals with the same problem. “This happens to me too,” responded Gauff. “I don’t know how it happens. My theory is maybe someone at the airport tips them off.”
@itsgabbythomas Replying to @Dr. Ethan Melillo, PharmD I took this video once when they were following me past TSA. I’ll see who I can report it to. I’ll continue to take videos and pictures. It scared them away
The 28-year-old sprinter, who lives and trains in Austin, Texas, has received numerous public accolades after her triple-gold success at the Paris 2024 Olympics, including a VOGUE cover and a spot in the upcoming 2025 Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit Issue.
In September, Thomas, with the support of Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, competed in the inaugural edition of the all-women track meet, Athlos NYC. She also signed on to compete in the inaugural Grand Slam Track season in 2025.
