Perdita Felicien announces she’s expecting in spring 2019

The retired hurdler-turned-broadcaster and her partner told a house full of friends and family, and one very happy grandmother-to-be

It was quite a celebration at retired Canadian hurdler and broadcaster Perdita Felicien’s house as she and her husband, sports writer Morgan Campbell, announced to friends and family that they are expecting a baby in the spring of 2019. In an Instagram post this morning, Felicien’s mother, Cathy, can be seen dancing with joy at the news.

Felicien earned three NCAA titles and set several school, conference and NCAA records in the 60 metre and 100 metre hurdles during her four seasons at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, training under coach Gary Winckler

She went on to represent Canada at five World Championships and two Olympic Games (2000 and 2004). Felicien was injured and did not compete in the Beijing Olympics in 2008, but began her broadcasting career with the CBC, reporting track side.

Felicien is 38.
