Runners and supporters show off their love for moms at Sporting Life 10K

There were plenty of great moments involving runners and their moms at the Sporting Life 10K in Ottawa and Toronto on Sunday morning.

Sporting Life 10K

Runners in Ottawa and Toronto took in Mother’s Day with the Sporting Life 10K on Sunday morning. Friends and family lined the race courses along Yonge Street in Toronto and Colonel By Drive in Ottawa

The race supports Camp Ooch, an outdoor experience for children with cancer, and CHEO, the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. Some were at the race running with their mothers, cheering them on (as can be seen in the top photo), or running in their honour.

It’s only appropriate that there were lots of social media posts on the day to celebrate motherhood.
