The world may see Usain Bolt on a soccer pitch in the future.

The Jamaican sprint star and world record holder in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m has reportedly been in discussion with top-tiered German soccer club Borussia Dortmund. The two parties have discussed the nine-time Olympic champion possibly joining the team for practice.

On Sunday, Borussia Dortmund CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke, told Kicker Magazine that Bolt joining the team for training “was no joke” and “not a marketing move.” Watzke’s response came after The Guardian reported that the 30-year-old may be joining the team.

Puma sponsors Bolt and Dortmund, one of Germany’s top soccer teams. The team competes in the Bundesliga, the highest level of professional soccer in Germany and also the league with the highest average stadium attendance in the world.

The sportswear company’s president is believed to have contacted Dortmund to relay the message that Bolt had interest in practicing with the club. Bolt is expected to end his competitive career in 2017 at the IAAF World Championships in London.

Soccer cleats with the Jamaican flag have been made for Bolt wear. Dortmund plays with a famous yellow and black kit with a crest reading “BVB,” short for the team’s full name, Ballspielverein Borussia 09 e.V. Dortmund.

Bolt is coming off a three-gold performance in Rio where he accomplished the triple-triple, which involved winning three Olympic sprint titles at three consecutive Olympic Games. He has run 9.58 for the 100m, 19.19 for 200m, and was part of Jamaica’s 36.84 performance.
