Last weekend it was the World Mountain Running Championships. This Sunday, the same Italian town, Premana, hosts the long-distance equivalent for the global mountain running championships.

Matt Setlack stayed in Europe for the week and will make it two-for-two in representing Canada on the mountain running scene. He’s the only Canadian who will have done both races. Meanwhile, Shelley Doucet, the 2017 Francophone Games marathon champion, headlines the women’s team.

The challenging 32K race (last weekend’s events were less than half that distance) goes off at 8 a.m. local time. Watch for updates at the Canadian Mountain Running Facebook page.
