Current mood. The @squamish50 races are all sold out and in record smashing times. 1250 runners in just a slice over 9 hours! Thank you to everyone for investing in us and believing in us. We absolutely promise an unforgettable trail experience come August! Along with record smashing sell out times, Geoff Langford and I decided to double down on our per race bib donations to SORCA / Squamish trails, with $10 per registration going directly to trail building and trail maintenance. Collectively we all raised just shy of $16,000 for SORCA today alone! Our goal is $20,000 by race day in August. Nice work everyone! Put you feet up and enjoy a drink tonight, training starts tomorrow don't ya know 😄 📸 Brian McCurdy @squamishbikes
Registration for the 2018 Squamish 50 went live on Friday. And, if you’re reading this without having entered the race, you’ll have to wait until 2019.
The popular B.C. trail race sold out in record time on Nov. 24. The 50K sold out in 44 minutes followed closely by the 23K in 2.5 hours, the 50/50 (50K and 50-miler) in 3.5 hours and the 50-miler in nine hours.
This year is the fastest the race has ever sold out with 1,250 runners in the field, according to race director Gary Robbins. (Geoff Langford directs the race too.)
The Squamish 50, held in Squamish B.C. between Whistler and Vancouver, is scheduled for Aug. 18-19.
