Entitled La Barkley Sans Pitie, translated roughly to ‘The Barkley Marathons without mercy’, the film mixes still images with video interviews of the race director, Gary ‘Lazarus Lake’ Cantrell, Robbins and John Kelly, who became the 15th finisher of the Barkley Marathons in 2017. The short film is 20 minutes in length.

Berg’s film is the latest release about the race as Canadians may be familiar with Where Dreams Go To Die, a film focused on Robbins produced and directed by Ethan Newberry. Berg released the film on March 24, the start date of the 2018 Barkley Marathons.
