WATCH: Jeanelle Hazlett, mountain runner

Jeanelle Hazlett of North Vancouver will represent Canada at the World Mountain Running Championships in Argentina in November

Jeanelle Hazlett is a former nurse and now full-time trail runner, coach and personal trainer who makes her home in North Vancouver, close to the trails she has called home since 2015. Hazlett will travel to Villa la Angostura, Argentina in November to represent Canada at the World Mountain Running Championships.

Some of Hazlett’s recent accomplishments include winning the 2018 Whistler Alpine Meadows 55K, finishing third at the 2018 48K Knee Knacker Race (her first appearance at this race, six months after breaking her foot at the North Face Race in California in 2017) and second at the 2018 Squamish 50K.

Hazlett earned the spot on the Canadian mountain running team with her second-place finish at the Canadian Mountain Running Championships in Vernon, BC in May. This profile is by BC photographer Brice Ferre.
