It’s like Christmas in Kicking Horse country this weekend. Trail enthusiasts will be migrating to Golden, BC to celebrate trail and mountain running for three days at the 2019 Golden Ultra. New start times were just announced for Friday’s races, so be sure to read the website thoroughly. Whether you’re racing the full stage race, half pint stage race, the 120K debut race, volunteering, crewing, or cheering–the weekend is guaranteed to be full of ultra-dirty fun.

❗️Dear Friday racers❗️Due to 11th hour circumstances out of our control, our timeline at Kicking Horse Mountain has changed for our vertical events occurring on Friday, September 20th. 🚨 Please note our START TIMES have moved UP AN HOUR EARLIER AS FOLLOWS: 🚨 – Blood (4.5KM vertical km first stage of the Full Pint): Now starting at 3:00PM 🚨 – Climb (3KM vertical km first stage of the Half Pint): Now starting at 3:00PM (which means you need to be on the Catamount chairlift by 2:30PM) 🚨 – Little Pint (Kids) Race: Delayed to 5:45PM 🚨 PLEASE take a look at our new timeline on the website or head to the link in our bio to ensure you’re up to date if you’re racing Friday. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this will cause to our travelling runners. The weekend starts off on Friday, September 20 at 3:00 p.m. with the 4.5K and 3K vertical kilometre races, followed by the Kid’s Race at 5:45 p.m.

Saturday at 7:30 a.m. is the 55K and 120K start, followed by the 30K start at 9:00 a.m. and Kid’s Race at 12:30 p.m.


Sunday at 9:00 a.m. is the 20K and 10K races, followed by another Kid’s Race at 12:30 p.m. After Sunday’s awards at 1:00 p.m., many athletes will head to Whitetooth Brewery to celebrate around 5:00 p.m. To get you even more excited, watch this video from the 2018 race:
