WATCH: spend 3 minutes running Hardrock 100 with the champ

From the comfort of your couch, run 100 miles and conquer 10,000 metres of climbing with Kilian Jornet

Hardrock 100

You need to watch this video. Even if you’ve never completed an ultra or have any desire to do so, you’ll enjoy experiencing it through the eyes of the best in the sport. Kilian Jornet, one of the most accomplished endurance athletes on the planet, takes us along as he runs the Hardrock 100-Mile Endurance Run in July. Jornet set a new course record in 21:36:24, his fifth win at the iconically gruelling race.

Watch it for the breathtaking views of Colorado’s San Juan Mountains, where Hardrock 100 is raced; for the incredible athleticism Jornet displays (the last time he won the race he did it with a dislocated shoulder); for the glimpses of camaraderie among the athletes.

Hardrock 100 both begins and ends in Silverton, Co., and athletes are above 3,300 metres elevation for much of the race. Courtney Dauwalter took the women’s course record and win, and was sixth overall, in 26:44:38.
