B.C. half-marathon champs to be run at BMO Vancouver Marathon
The BMO Vancouver Marathon announced that the B.C. half-marathon provincial championships will be run as part of its race weekend.
The BMO Vancouver Marathon announced that it will be hosting the British Columbia Half-Marathon Championships as part of its race weekend on May 1, 2016.
The race will be part of the newly announced B.C. Super Series, a collaboration between BC Athletics and 12 of B.C.’s best road races. Combined, the series offers $100,000 in prize money.
“The Vancouver International Marathon Society is thrilled to be a part of the B.C. Super Series, and to host the B.C. Half-Marathon Championships at the BMO Vancouver Marathon on May 1, 2016,” adds Vancouver International Marathon Society executive director Charlene Krepiakevich.

The BMO Vancouver Marathon offers the full 42.2K-distance, half-marathon, 8K, 2.5K kids run as well as a marathon relay. The BMO Vancouver Marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifying event.
The BMO Vancouver Marathon is ranked as one of Canadian Running‘s “Gold Label Races” in our November/December issue.
