Boston Marathon victim memoir announced
Boston Marathon victim Jeff Bauman spent the evening of Jan. 28 at the State of the Union address in Washington. Both Bauman and Carlos Arredondo, who helped to save him after the bombs detonated on Boylston Street in Boston, were invited as guests of Michelle Obama.
After multiple days of heavy sedation, Bauman awoke from surgery and asked for a pen and paper, on which he wrote “Saw the guy. Looked right at me.” He went on to play an important role in identifying the attackers.
Bauman, who lost both legs in the attacks, has an upcoming book to be released about the role he played in the aftermath of the attacks and manhunt that followed. The book, titled Stronger, is scheduled for release on April 8, 2013, only a few days before the anniversary of the event.
The book, which was announced on Twitter by Bauman’s literary agent, Anthony Mattero, will be a memoir. It can be preordered from Amazon.
