Canadians showed their dominance of global masters track over the weekend at a meet in Toronto.

Ontario’s Karla Del Grande ran 13.66 in the 100m at the first day of the track events at the Ontario Masters Championships at the University of Toronto’s Varsity Stadium.

She beat the existing women’s 60-year-old world record of 13.75 held by Ingrid Meier of Germany, which was set back in 2008.

She then ran 65.95 in the 400m – breaking her own world record of 66.24 set last year at the World Masters Championships in Brazil.

Eighty-year-old Alice Cole of Montreal ran 3:43.62 in the 800m – breaking the age group world record of 3:45.00 held by a Russian athlete, set in 2005 at the Worlds in Donostia, Spain.

Earl Fee ran the 800m in 3:15.15 – breaking the men’s 85-year-old world record of 3:17.45 held by a Brazilian, set last year.
