Christopher McDougall to make Toronto stop on book tour

Natural Born Heroes

Natural Born HeroesBestselling author of Born to Run, Christopher McDougall, will be including one Canadian city in the 19-stop tour for his upcoming book, Natural Born Heroes.

McDougall will present his new book at a Ramsay Talk in Toronto on May 4, three weeks after the book launch. It will be the second last stop on the book tour, titled The Heroes Tour.

Tickets to the Ramsay Talk are priced at $69 and include breakfast and a copy of the new book. It will be held at the University of Toronto’s University Club.

Similar to Born to Run, McDougall’s new book will explore the hidden secrets of ancient Greek warriors on the island of Crete.

Born to Run was one of the driving forces in the barefoot running movement. McDougalls stories of the Tarahumara tribe in Mexico pushed many runners to try running without shoes or in minimalist footwear. The book is also being planned as a feature film starring Matthew McConaughey.

The new book will hit shelves on April 14.
