A British couple has found a unique way to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary – they’re running a marathon together.

According to a BBC news article, Chris Robson, 73, and Charm Robson, 72, are both retired teachers and marathon runners. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in December, and plan to mark it by running the London Marathon on April 22.

Chris has run two London marathons, although this is the first time Charm will run that race. The couple plans to use the race as a chance to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research U.K.

“We thought around about September, ‘well OK, we have never run the London Marathon together so we might as well have a go,'” Chris told the BBC.

“It seemed a good idea and also raise some money for Alzheimer’s Research UK.”
