Finisher Shirt Friday has become an official day

Finisher Shirt Friday is an actual thing. On Wednesday morning of this week, Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton announced that today would be the first official Finisher Shirt Friday.

This comes after being requested by Twin Cities in Motion– a host of running events that happen throughout the year in Minneapolis. The idea is to wear a race’s finisher shirt to celebrate commitment to running and to fitness in general. Those who include a finisher shirt as part of their outfit today are doing so to celebrate the running scene and to inspire others to join in.
