Happy Birthday to Andre De Grasse who turns 21 today!

The 2015 IAAF World Championship bronze medalist in the 100m, Canadian Andre De Grasse turns 21 today. De Grasse is coming off a breakthrough season where he won the 100m and 200m at the Pan American Games in Toronto in addition to his success at world championships.

De Grasse, a native of Scarborough, Ont., became the first Canadian since Bruny Surin in 1999 to win a medal in the 100m at the World Championships.

He is also the Canadian record holder in the 200m and the reigning American university (NCAA) champion at the 100m and 200m .

The newly minted 21-year-old is currently studying at the University of Southern California after rumours swirled earlier this fall about De Grasse potentially turning professional.
