Hoka One One signs another track runner

If you’ve ever been to an ultra event you’ve seen a pair of Hoka One Ones. Their big, bulky looking sole is the polar opposite of the other big trend in ultra running in the last few years: Vibram’s FiveFingers.

But the American company has taken an unexpected marketing turn in the last few months by signing elite track athletes. The latest speedster to slip into a pair of Hoka One Ones is American 1,500m runner Leo Manzano. In the video below Manzano, a two-time Olympian, and Hoka president Jim Van Dine talk about their experience with this unusual and iconic shoe.
