To the ends of the world
Ultra-runner Ray Zahab completed his latest project at the end of May, running 80K per day through every Canadian province and territory in a bid to raise awareness for the organization ONEXONE, a non-profit foundation supporting children in Canada and around the world. Â
While this is an incredible feat, it’s barely a warmup compared to the next two treks in Zahab’s calendar. In November, he’s planning an unsupported 1,000K run to the South Pole with fellow adventurer Richard Weber, then in early 2010, Zahab and Kevin Vallely will attempt a near-impossible 750K journey across chunks of floating ice, from Ward Hunt Island to the North Pole.
