Could we be greeting a baby Bolt in the near future?

The fastest man in the world and girlfriend Kasi Bennett have announced in media interviews that they are seriously considering the role of parenthood. Usain Bolt told People Magazine this week that he has had a girlfriend for four years now and that they have been contemplating having kids.

The Jamaican sprinting icon did state that the Rio 2016 Olympics would be his last. From there, he suggested he would be focusing on another chapter of life.

Both the athlete and his partner are from the Jamaican town of Old Harbour. While they have said that they do want to welcome a young one into their life, this isn’t something that’s immediately on the horizon. “We’ll see how it goes, we’re taking our time,” Bold said in and interview with People.

This would be exciting news for the man who has captured the attention of track fans across the globe especially considering that after he captured the triple triple (three golds from three Olympics), one of his team mates got busted for doping.

When Nesta Carter, Bolt’s team mate from the relay in Beijing, tested positive for banned substances, the Jamaican team lost their gold medal. Bolt said that that would not tarnish his reputation.
